Anime Origins Maps, Hub Areas, and Game Modes Overview

Anime Origins separates non-combat management into the right-side Areas menu (Summon Area, Upgrade Area, Trait Reroll NPC, and Random Merchants) and combat into distinct modes: Story (primary progression and reported Level 10 code unlock gate), Infinite Mansion (a floor climb where each floor applies its own damage-type modifiers), Raids (community-reported boss evolution materials), Rifts (Shibuya Metro subway rubble defense), and the official AFK Chamber subplace (Place ID 135941552414666). In combat, Fire and Neutral are observed element types, and floor modifiers in Infinite Mansion reference Dark, Nature, Light and Lightning lines; Hill versus Ground positioning is decisive for targeting airborne enemies. Check live in-game descriptions for exact mode rules.

Review access requirements, reported reward flows, required team roles, and strict fact boundaries across every mode.

Story Mode

Combat Mode

Purpose & Gameplay: Core linear progression, map layout learning, and reaching Account Level 10 (reported by most sources and in-game notices as the code redemption unlock threshold).

Access & Prerequisites: Unlocked by default at account creation; progresses linearly from Chapter 1.

Known Rewards: First-clear Gems, base account XP, and basic stage completion gold (observed mechanics).

Recommended Team Roles: 1 ground wave clear carry (Itsugo/Gyutari) + 1 budget Hill unit (Itsoda) + 1 boss damage unit.

Fact Boundary: Do not rely on unverified per-stage drop rate tables or assumed continuous gold farming formulas.

Infinite Mode (Infinite Mansion)

Combat Mode

Purpose & Gameplay: Test end-to-end team strength, push high wave survivability, and farm repeatable endgame account experience.

Access & Prerequisites: Unlocked after clearing foundational Story chapters via the main lobby mode selector.

Known Rewards: Scaling wave XP and completion Gems based on final wave reached (community-reported scaling; exact rate per wave unpublished).

Recommended Team Roles: 1 income engine (Bluma) + 1 sustained AoE carry (Madaro) + 1 crowd slow/stall (Goju) + 1 Hill anti-air slot.

Fact Boundary: Strictly no fabricated drop checklists or guaranteed secret item drop claims; rely on live in-match results.

Raids (Fairy Forest & Entertainment District)

Combat Mode

Purpose & Gameplay: Multiplayer and high-difficulty cooperative boss encounters reported to award unit evolution and breakthrough materials.

Access & Prerequisites: Opens after Story milestones; accessible through lobby raid portals or team matchmaking menus.

Known Rewards: Raid boss completion drops, raid shop tokens, and unit-specific evolution components (community-reported).

Recommended Team Roles: 1 single-target boss nuker (Madaro/Starku) + 1 AoE wave clear + 1 team buffer (Bon) + 1 CC stall.

Fact Boundary: Strictly no invented raid drop percentages or unofficial boss mechanic statistics.

Rifts (Shibuya Metro)

Combat Mode

Purpose & Gameplay: Timed wave challenge featuring unique subway mechanics where train rubble blocks tracks and causes multi-lane enemy leaks.

Access & Prerequisites: Spawns on periodic lobby rift portals; recommended for teams with advanced Mythic/Secret rosters.

Known Rewards: Gems, Rift Tokens, Rift Shop exclusive items, and rare unit evolution components (community-reported).

Recommended Team Roles: 1 income generator (Bluma) + 1 back-line ground carry + 1 Hill unit + 1 dedicated rubble clearing unit (Melio/2+ placements).

Fact Boundary: No guaranteed portal spawn schedules or fixed Rift shop pricing assumptions; check live in-game merchant boards.

AFK Chamber

Hub System

Purpose & Gameplay: Subplace status watch: Roblox officially confirms the [AO] AFK CHAMBER subplace identity and Place/Universe link. In-game purpose, access route, level requirement, combat or idle behavior, and timer/rate mechanics are not publicly documented by developers.

Access & Prerequisites: Official Roblox Subplace record (Place ID: 135941552414666 in Universe: 8946565814). The public record does not document an entrance route, lobby portal, or unlock requirement.

Known Rewards: Community discussions report passive Gems, but this is an unverified player claim; the official subplace description is blank, leaving rewards, payout rates, and timers unconfirmed.

Recommended Team Roles: Team requirements and combat vs idle rules are undocumented in official sources. Never use unauthorized third-party macros, autoclickers, or scripts (Checked August 20, 2026).

Fact Boundary: Strictly no fabricated '5,000 Gems/hr' hourly rates, offline revenue claims, or third-party tool endorsements.

Hub Areas Navigation

Hub System

Purpose & Gameplay: Central management interface providing direct access to Summon Area, Upgrade Area, Trait Reroll NPC, and Random Merchants.

Access & Prerequisites: Accessed directly by clicking the right-side 'Areas' button on the main player screen.

Known Rewards: Unit summons, trait rerolls (2-slot system), stat grade adjustments, and merchant listings.

Recommended Team Roles: Management hub — plan summon budgets and check trait pity before spending rare currencies.

Fact Boundary: Do not assume fixed merchant inventory schedules or unverified banner secret probabilities.

Elements & Placement Mechanics

Combat Mechanic

Purpose & Gameplay: Determines damage interactions and positioning effectiveness (Hill vs Ground targeting).

Access & Prerequisites: Built into unit passive cards and inspectable via the Units roster.

Known Rewards: Tactical damage multipliers against target enemy types.

Recommended Team Roles: Always balance Hill and Ground positions: Ground units cannot target flying mobs regardless of element advantage.

Fact Boundary: Strictly no invented full elemental weakness wheels (only Fire and Neutral are observed launch element types).

World Boss (Igris / Crimson Commander)

Combat Mode

Purpose & Gameplay: Single-boss encounter in the Crimson Throne Room. The boss is invulnerable while its Authority Shield is up; collecting 5 Authority Fragments enables the Clash, and winning the Clash breaks the shield into a damage window capped at 25% of maximum HP.

Access & Prerequisites: Lobby World Boss entry with a Level 25 Required to Enter gate, as shown on the entry panel in reviewed sessions. The boss label has appeared as Crimson Commander, Red Commander, Igritto and Ignito across builds.

Known Rewards: A free Arcane Chest and a key-gated Abyssal Chest with pity, plus World Boss tokens for the mode shop. One observed Abyssal opening paid 500 Gems, 50 Stat Chips, 4 Trait Rerolls, 2 Abyssal Essence and a Perfect Stat Prism.

Recommended Team Roles: Lane coverage that survives between cycles + 2 economy units + concentrated single-target burst for the broken-shield window + a second damage source, because the Execution skill marks the highest-damage unit.

Fact Boundary: No published boss HP total (the interface shows none), no drop rates or pity ceiling, no multiplayer scaling claims, and no suggested lineup presented as a tested requirement.

Pleiadys Tower (Update 1 Event)

Combat Mode

Purpose & Gameplay: Numbered event Acts added in the [UPD1 🦂] Update 1 window. Act 1 runs on Aguriya Sand Dunes at Normal difficulty against the boss Petelgeuse and drops Hiro, Scorpion Tokens, Gems and Gold in the reviewed run.

Access & Prerequisites: Event mode entry point in the lobby for the Update 1 window; the reviewed run began from the stage panel showing Act 1, Normal difficulty and Fire/Earth elements (observed, 2026-09-13 review).

Known Rewards: Reviewed Act 1 clear paid Gems x150, Scorpion Tokens x100, Gold x500 and Player Exp +132. Whether the payout scales with Act or difficulty is unpublished; Scorpion Tokens feed the reported Shali's Stash event shop.

Recommended Team Roles: 1 economy unit that compounds early + 1 high-investment main damage unit for the boss burst + 1 support or secondary damage slot, with a gold reserve held for the boss wave.

Fact Boundary: No claimed Hiro drop rate, no Act 2 mechanics (reportedly harder, never shown on screen), no verified act count, and no unit-substitution claims presented as tested alternatives.

In-Depth Mode Breakdown & Gameplay Loops

Use these notes while you play, compare the outcome of Story, Infinite, and Raid runs, then follow the related page for the next decision.

Hub Areas versus modes

The right-side Areas menu is the hub map: Summon Area, Upgrade Area, Trait Reroll, and Random Shops & Merchants. Story, Infinite, and Raids are game modes you play, then return to Areas when you need to pull, upgrade, or reroll. The hub-areas guide is the how-to version of this list.

Modes: Story, Infinite, Raids

Story is the documented Level 10 and code-unlock path. Infinite and Raids are longer or harder loops once a team can finish Story stages. No official Gem-per-stage table is published, so measure your own completed runs instead of trusting an hourly farm claim.

Anime Origins Artifacts and Artifact Shop

Public video titles and search surfaces repeatedly use Artifacts, Artifact Shop, and artifact farming as search phrases. However, no creator-owned documentation was found in this check for drop tables, formulas, recipes, or merchant pricing. Avoid unverified macro farming claims and focus session progression on verified Story, Raid, and Rift gameplay loops.

Elements and unpublished systems

Only Fire and Neutral are confirmed elements. Community tier videos mention hybrid or elemental categories, but a full matchup chart is not published. Relic hunting, trait swap, and a complete shop catalog appear in player videos as watch items — we will add them when a second source documents the rules.

How to use this page in a session

Start in Story until Level 10, redeem codes, then open Areas. Summon only if the live banner lists your target. Upgrade and reroll after you have a keeper. If a system is missing from this list — trading, a full element chart, official Trello — it is unpublished, not hidden. Check the updates page before assuming a new mode shipped.

Anime Origins Artifacts, Umbral Splinters, and Portal Refinement: Verified Mechanics and Crafting

This block is the page's standing answer for Artifact searches. A complete gameplay video published August 17 and reviewed September 13, 2026 shows NPC Robyn, four Artifact qualities, the refinement role of Umbral Splinters, Legend Stage associations, crafting recipes at NPC Kanna, and why third-party macros are excluded.

Direct Answer: Verified Artifact Mechanics & Crafting Flow

Artifacts are Portal Items, Not Equippable Gear: The August 17 gameplay video reviewed September 13, 2026 shows an in-game update log stating that Artifacts open special portals and that completing those portals awards drops. At hub NPC Robyn [Artifacts], the player can inspect, refine, and enter with an Artifact; the shown system does not equip it to a unit as stat gear.

Four Quality Tiers & One Observed Reward Slot: NPC Robyn shows four qualities: Intact, Empowered, Perfected, and Ascendant. For the featured Mythic component slot inspected in the video, the panel displays these tier-specific chances:

  • Intact: 2% shown reward chance
  • Empowered: 4% shown reward chance
  • Perfected: 6% shown reward chance
  • Ascendant: 10% shown reward chance

Umbral Splinters Refinement Role: The Robyn panel shows Umbral Splinters beside a Refine action and the higher-quality reward previews. The video supports using Splinters in the refinement flow, but it does not open the cost confirmation, so the exact Splinter cost per step remains unknown. After choosing a quality, Enter starts the corresponding Artifact portal.

Legend Stage Artifact Associations: The shown Story Legend Stages on Hard list these Artifact codes:

  • Karakura Town Legend 1: Drops KTR-1 (Mythic tier, listed with a 50% drop rate).
  • Hidden Sand Legend 1: Drops SND-1.
  • Hidden Sand Legend 2: Drops SND-2.
  • Hidden Sand Legend 3: Drops SND-3 and SND-4.

Crafting Destinations at NPC Kanna: The Kanna [Crafting] panel shows two destinations for components associated with the inspected Artifact codes:

  • Starku (Resurrected) (Mythic Unit): Requires 1x Azure Spirit Blade (from KTR-1) + 1x Lone Wolf Eyepatch (from KTR-2) + 1x Wolf Spirit Pistols (White) (from KTR-3) + 1,500 Gold.
  • Ghost's Gunbai (Mythic Crafting Item): Requires 1x Gunbai Staff (from SND-1) + 1x Gunbai Base (from SND-2) + 1x Gunbai Bandage (from SND-3) + 1,500 Gold.

No Third-Party Macro Instructions: The source video demonstrates TinyTask, but this guide excludes that workflow. Unattended input tools can desynchronize when placement or loading timing changes and can miss airborne enemies. Play the stage directly, keep Hill/air coverage in the lineup, and follow Roblox and game rules rather than installing or recording third-party automation.

Claim States: Known / Reported / Unknown

  • • Observed in an Aug 17 video (reviewed Sep 13, 2026): NPC Robyn handles Artifacts; Artifacts open portals; four qualities show a featured component slot at 2%, 4%, 6%, and 10%; the panel connects Umbral Splinters to refinement; Karakura Legend 1 lists KTR-1 at 50%; Hidden Sand Legends 1–3 list SND-1 through SND-4; NPC Kanna shows Starku (Resurrected) and Ghost's Gunbai recipes.
  • • Reported / Theorycraft: Creator claims that Ghost's Gunbai is specifically used to evolve or unlock secret unit Madara; claims that two unattended TinyTask macros can run Legend stages indefinitely.
  • • Unknown / Unconfirmed: Exact Umbral Splinter cost per refinement step; drop stage and purpose for KTR-4 or SND-4; whether portal combat difficulty scales with artifact quality tier.

Live-Client Checklist & Boundaries

  • • Check NPC Robyn: Verify your current Umbral Splinter balance, the exact refine cost confirmation, and each quality preview before spending materials.
  • • Inspect Legend Stage Cards: Check Story mode Legend Stages to confirm current listed drop rates (a 50% listed rate on KTR-1 means runs can yield zero artifacts due to normal RNG).
  • • Field Hill Units: Ensure your team deploys elevated Hill units (like Vegita or Vegito) to intercept airborne enemies and prevent leaks.
  • • Confirm Recipes at Kanna: Review required components and gold costs directly in the Kanna [Crafting] menu before assembling Mythic items.
  • • No Macro Endorsement: This guide does not provide third-party automation steps. Play manually so you can respond to timing, placement, and enemy changes.

Documented Systems & Progression Guides

While official artifact details remain unverified, use these dedicated guides to review known mechanics, evolution materials, and current mode rules:

Official subplace record

AFK Chamber identity status & safety

Roblox officially lists [AO] AFK CHAMBER as place 135941552414666 inside the Anime Origins universe (Universe ID: 8946565814). Official records confirm only the subplace identity and Universe link. Its in-game purpose, access route, level requirement, combat or idle behavior, team requirements, rewards, and timer/rate mechanics are not publicly documented by developers.

While community discussions report passive Gems, this remains an unconfirmed player claim rather than an official fact. Do not rely on videos claiming fixed 5,000 Gems/hr yields. Always follow the live client wording upon joining, and never run unauthorized macros, autoclickers, or scripts (Checked August 20, 2026). Our AFK Chamber Guide covers verified subplace facts and does not endorse third-party macros or unauthorized tools.

Combat mechanics

Element typing vs Hill & Ground positioning

Fire and Neutral are the only confirmed element types in current public material. While community videos speculate on water, nature, or light/dark mechanics, no creator-owned damage chart has been published.

Positioning is far more decisive: Ground units cannot hit flying enemies regardless of their elemental affinity. Ensure your team always fields at least one dedicated Hill unit (such as Itsoda or Vegita) to prevent airborne breaches.
