Pleiadys Tower in Anime Origins: Acts, Parry Timing and Return by Death

How Anime Origins Pleiadys Tower works: Act 1 Stage Info, the Hell Snipe parry timing check, what Return by Death does to your wave count, the Act 1 clear rewards one reviewed run paid, and what is still unverified in Act 2.

Quick answer

Start with this

Pleiadys Tower is the Update 1 (Re:Zero) event mode in Anime Origins, built as numbered Acts. Act 1 runs on the Aguriya Sand Dunes stage at Normal difficulty against the boss Petelgeuse, and it is the stage that issued Hiro, Scorpion Tokens, Gems and Gold in the reviewed run. Two rules decide most failures: a Hell Snipe parry prompt that takes a Stock when you miss it, and Return by Death, which rolls your wave count back instead of immediately ending the run. The reviewed Act 1 clear paid Gems x150, Scorpion Tokens x100, Gold x500 and Player Exp +132.

Step by step

What to do in-game

Follow the steps in order, then use the notes below to avoid wasting limited currency or materials.

  1. Step 1

Read the stage panel before you press Ready

Act 1's Stage Info names the stage (Aguriya Sand Dunes), the difficulty (Normal), the elements (Fire and Earth), the boss (Petelgeuse) and the drop list (Hiro, Scorpion Tokens, Gems, Gold). The elements line is what tells you which damage types are worth bringing, and the drop list tells you whether this Act is the one that feeds the event shop.

Tip: Check the drop list first if you are farming. Scorpion Tokens were the currency the reviewed run earned, and Hiro appeared in the same drop list.

  2. Step 2

Decide your economy opener, then commit to it

The reviewed run opened with three economy units at the spawn lane and let the defence leak on purpose while auto-upgrade ran. The point was not to survive the early waves — it was to reach a full economy before the push that matters. If you are not running that greed, ignore the leak strategy; it only works because of the wave rollback below.

Tip: Deliberately leaking is only safe while you still have Stocks left. Count them before you start, not after.

  3. Step 3

Treat every parry prompt as the run-decider

Mid-run the stage shows an incoming attack prompt: a ring closes, a bar fills, and you click to parry. Missing it costs a Stock. In a run that has spent its Stocks on Return by Death, one missed parry is the difference between finishing and restarting.

Tip: If your ping is unstable, do not build a run that depends on parrying at one Stock left. Keep a Stock of slack instead of greed-floating at the edge.

  4. Step 4

Read Return by Death as a wave refund, not a loss

When the base takes fatal damage, the mode triggers Return by Death: the wave count rolls back by one wave and a Stock is consumed, rather than the run ending outright. That is what makes the economy-greed opener possible — a leaked wave is a wave you can play again with more money than the first time.

Tip: Because the rollback is one wave, the failure you cannot recover from is spending your last Stock on a wave you still cannot clear. Bank money before that wave, not after it.

  5. Step 5

Hold money for the boss instead of over-upgrading

The reviewed run stopped spending on support upgrades late and saved gold for the boss wave. Petelgeuse arrived with an on-screen warning and died within seconds under a main damage unit plus support, so the constraint was having the money on hand at that moment rather than surviving a long boss fight.

Tip: The boss is a burst check, not an endurance check. Keep a reserve you can dump into your main carry the moment the warning appears.

How it works

The details that change your decision

What Pleiadys Tower is

Pleiadys Tower is the Update 1 event mode — the Re:Zero-themed content wave that Roblox labelled [UPD1 🦂] on September 5, 2026. It is structured as Acts rather than as an open-ended wave stream, and each Act is a named stage with its own difficulty, elements, boss and drop list. The reviewed run covered Act 1, which plays on Aguriya Sand Dunes at Normal difficulty.

Because it is an event mode rather than a permanent progression track, treat the details on this page as a snapshot of the Update 1 window. The in-client Stage Info panel is the authority for whichever Act you are standing in — this page exists to tell you what to look at before you commit a run to it.

One naming warning: searching Pleiadys Tower without a game name mostly returns Re:Zero wiki pages about the Pleiades Watchtower, which is the story location the event borrows from. Name the game when you search, and check the on-screen spelling of the stage in your own client rather than trusting a third-party transcription.

The two mechanics that actually cause failures

The first is the incoming-attack parry. The reviewed run showed a prompt in which a ring closes on the target and a timing bar advances; hitting the window is a successful parry and missing it costs a Stock. This is the mechanic the event shop unit Shali is associated with in community reports, where it is described as a Hell Snipe parry — the same vocabulary the stage panel used for the incoming attack.

The second is Return by Death. When the base takes fatal damage, the wave count rolls back one wave and a Stock is consumed instead of the run ending. This is the mechanic that makes the greedy opener viable: a leaked early wave is not a wasted run, it is a rerun of that wave with more economy than you had the first time.

Together they create the real failure mode. Because rollback costs Stocks, and a missed parry also costs a Stock, a run that floats at one remaining Stock is one mistimed click from ending. The reviewed run did exactly that and survived on timing; that is a playstyle sample, not a requirement.

Act 1 rewards, with the limits stated

The reviewed Act 1 clear paid Gems x150, Scorpion Tokens x100, Gold x500 and Player Exp +132, with a clear time of 08:36, 4.58M total damage and 316 kills. The same run's Stage Info listed Hiro alongside those rewards as a stage drop.

Two limits matter before you build a farm plan on those numbers. First, this is one clear in one session on Normal difficulty — we did not observe whether the payout scales with Act, difficulty or clear speed. Second, Hiro appeared in the drop list but the panel did not show a drop rate, and no rate was visible anywhere else in the run, so Hiro cannot be treated as a guaranteed per-clear payout.

What the numbers do support is direction: this mode is a Scorpion Token source, and Scorpion Tokens are the currency the event shop (Shali's Stash) is reported to take. If you are farming to spend in that shop, Act 1 is the loop that feeds it.

Act 2 and everything after it

The reviewed run only played Act 1. The creator stated that Act 2 is considerably harder, with much higher enemy health, a high-cost modifier and enemy regeneration — and explicitly limited the demonstrated solo strategy to Act 1. Because Act 2 was never shown on screen, none of that is treated here as observed. It is a player report about a stage we have not reviewed, and it is worth testing against the in-client Act 2 panel.

That leaves a real list of unknowns: whether the economy-greed opener survives Act 2's reported cost pressure (if the opening money is smaller, three economy units may not be placeable at all), how many Acts the event has, whether the Acts rotate or expire with the Update 1 window, and how Hiro drops. We publish none of those as fact.

Which units the reviewed run used (and how to read that)

The reviewed Act 1 lineup, read off the in-client bottom bar, was a level 70 economy unit (Leo, listed cost 275), a level 70 main damage unit in Madara (Edo Tensei), plus Julius (Spirit Knight), Emmy and Valzrold [Unleashed] at level 70, with the sixth slot empty. The creator referred to Valzrold as Alucard and to Madara as the Immortal-attribute damage unit that makes the clear stable.

Treat that as one player's solved Act 1, not as a requirement list. The creator separately claimed that Alucard is optional and that another Immortal damage unit such as Yuta can substitute — plausible, but not demonstrated in the video, so we do not present it as a verified alternative. What transfers is the job structure: one economy unit that compounds, one high-investment damage unit that can delete the boss, and at least one support or secondary damage slot for the mid-run leaks.

If you want to test that structure against your own roster, the Squad Planner is the tool for it — choose your owned units and see which of those jobs is empty before you spend resources on an event unit.

If you're stuck

Check these before retrying

You keep losing the run to one missed parry

Do not build a run that has to parry at one remaining Stock. Keep a Stock of slack, or accept a slower opener that does not need the rollback mechanic to fund itself.

Your waves keep rolling back and the run ends anyway

Return by Death costs a Stock each time it triggers. Track the counter on screen: the rollback is a refund only while you have Stocks left, and each rollback you take for economy is one you cannot take for a mistake later.

The boss deletes your base before you can react

Hold a gold reserve into the boss wave instead of finishing every support upgrade. The reviewed run's boss died in seconds to a funded main carry — the failure case is arriving with an empty bank.

Hiro never drops after several clears

The reviewed Stage Info listed Hiro as a stage drop without a rate. There is no verified drop rate to compare against, so log your clears and the drops you get rather than assuming a pity threshold exists.

You cannot tell whether Act 2 needs a different opener

Check the Act 2 stage panel for a cost or start-money modifier. If the opening bank is smaller than Act 1's, the three-economy-unit opener may not be placeable at all — that is the first thing to test.

Common mistakes

Fix these before trying again

Reading Return by Death as a free retry.

It rolls back one wave and consumes a Stock. It is a refund with a price — every rollback you spend on economy is one you cannot spend on a later mistake.

Assuming Act 1's numbers apply to every Act.

Gems x150, Scorpion Tokens x100, Gold x500 and Player Exp +132 were one Act 1 Normal clear. Nothing observed showed whether the payout scales by Act or difficulty.

Farming Act 1 for a guaranteed Hiro drop.

Hiro appeared in the drop list, but no drop rate was shown anywhere in the run. Treat it as a possible drop and record your own clears.

Copying the review run's lineup as a requirement.

It was one player's level 70 Act 1 clear. The transferable part is the job structure — economy, a funded main carry, and support — not the specific units.

FAQ

Common questions

What is Pleiadys Tower in Anime Origins?

The Update 1 (Re:Zero-themed) event mode, built as numbered Acts. Act 1 plays on the Aguriya Sand Dunes stage at Normal difficulty against the boss Petelgeuse.

How many Acts does Pleiadys Tower have?

Not verified. The reviewed run played Act 1 only, and the creator said Act 2 is much harder but never showed it. Check the Act selection panel in your client for the current act count.

What does Return by Death do in Anime Origins?

When your base takes fatal damage, it rolls the wave count back by one wave and consumes a Stock rather than ending the run immediately. The reviewed run triggered it several times to keep farming economy.

What are the Pleiadys Tower Act 1 rewards?

The reviewed Act 1 Normal clear paid Gems x150, Scorpion Tokens x100, Gold x500 and Player Exp +132, with a clear time of 08:36. Whether that scales with Act or difficulty was not shown.

How do you get Hiro in Anime Origins?

Hiro appeared in the Act 1 Stage Info drop list alongside Scorpion Tokens, Gems and Gold. No drop rate was visible in the reviewed run, so there is no verified rate or pity threshold to quote.

How do you parry the Hell Snipe in Pleiadys Tower?

An incoming-attack prompt shows a closing ring and a timing bar; you click within the window to parry. Missing costs a Stock. The prompt timing was observed on screen, but no frame-accurate window was measured, so treat your own ping as part of the timing.

Which units are best for Pleiadys Tower Act 1?

There is no verified universal lineup. The reviewed clear used an economy unit, a level 70 Immortal-attribute main damage unit and support at level 70. Use the Squad Planner to check which of those jobs your own roster fills.

Can you solo Pleiadys Tower?

Yes — the reviewed Act 1 clear was a solo run. The creator limited that recommendation to Act 1 and did not demonstrate a solo Act 2, so solo viability for later Acts is unverified.
