Goju (Honored One) — Mythic Unit Guide

Goju (the Gojo unit) in Anime Origins: Infinity attack nullify, Infinity Expansion slows, the Time Stop attribution, why PGG ranks him B while Beebom says S+, and best traits.

Quick answer

Is Goju worth using?

Maybe — the answer depends on whether your team needs control or damage. Pro Game Guides ranks Goju B; Beebom ranks him S+. That is the widest split on any documented unit. The kit is real (Infinity nullifies approaching attacks; Infinity Expansion slows), but whether utility without big damage numbers deserves a top slot is exactly what the two tier lists are fighting about.

Tier placements are the two public tier lists (Pro Game Guides and Beebom), shown side by side because they disagree on several units — see the full tier list for how we handle conflicts.

How to get

How to get Goju

Use the banner route, and do not plan around a made-up per-unit chance.

  1. Step 1

Goju comes from summon banners as a Mythic. Mythics are mid-tier rarity — meaningfully more common than Secrets in community experience, though no official rates are published.

  2. Step 2

He is one of the most-searched Anime Origins entities (autocomplete ranks the name top-1 for several prefixes), so banner rotations featuring him get community attention fast — check the updates page for current banner notes.

  3. Step 3

Players search him as both Goju and Gojo — showcases exist under both spellings.

Kit and role

How Goju fits a team

Infinity — attacks that stop arriving

Goju's passive nullifies approaching attacks. In a wave game that is a defensive aura: enemies that attack from range into his zone simply do not connect. The wiki documents the nullify; exact ticks and immunity limits are not yet published.

Positioning is everything — the nullify protects what is near him, so he frontline-tanks for squishier carries rather than standing in the backline.

Infinity Expansion — the 30% slow

Enemies that stay in his zone for 6 seconds are slowed by 30% for 6 seconds. Chained correctly, this is near-permanent crowd control on chokes — the map control that boss-rush comps are built on.

Synergy note: slows pair with damage-over-time and proc-based units (every-Nth-attack kits like Madaro's Susanoo Blades) because enemies spend longer inside proc ranges.

Time Stop — attributed, not confirmed

Beebom additionally credits Goju with Time Stop. The public community wiki does not list it. Per our sourcing policy we show that attribution honestly: it may exist in-game, it may be confused with the slow, or it may have shipped in one of the launch-week patches.

Treat Time Stop as a Beebom-sourced claim until a second source documents it — we will update the moment it does.

Why the tier lists split B vs S+

The gap is a philosophy split, not a data error. Beebom's S+ rates the control package as elite (nullify + slow is a unique defensive profile). PGG's B asks what he actually kills — utility without carry damage ranks lower in their framework.

Our read: Goju is excellent in comps that already have damage and need time (stall comps, chokes, escort modes), and underwhelming as your only Mythic. Both placements can be right for different teams.

Suggested traits for Goju

Utility kits want uptime: cooldown reduction keeps Infinity Expansion's slow running more of the time, and range traits widen the nullify zone. If you side with Beebom's S+ read, damage traits turn him into a control-carry hybrid.

Community picks, not official data — the trait table has every effect and rate, and the reroll calculator shows your odds before you spend.

Spend decision

Should you spend gems chasing Goju?

If your team already hits hard but dies or leaks: Goju is the documented answer — nullify plus a repeating slow buys your carries time to work. This is the team profile where Beebom's S+ makes sense.

If Goju would be your first or only Mythic: wait. As a solo damage source he is the B-tier unit PGG describes. A carry Mythic (Starku's nuke, Bluma's income) moves your progress further.

Use his current kit and your roster as the decision. If a control slot turns near-miss waves into clears, Goju earns the investment; if the account still lacks a carry, save the resources for damage first.

FAQ

Goju questions

Is Goju good in Anime Origins?

Depends on your comp. As control support (nullify + slow) he is elite — Beebom ranks him S+. As a damage carry he is not — PGG ranks him B. He is the widest tier-list disagreement of any documented unit.

Is Goju the Gojo unit?

Yes — Goju (Honored One) is the renamed Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen. Players search and call him by both spellings.

Does Goju have Time Stop?

Beebom credits him with Time Stop; the public community wiki does not list it. We attribute that claim to Beebom until a second source confirms. Everything else on this page is wiki-documented.

Why does PGG say B and Beebom say S+?

Philosophy: PGG's tier framework rewards damage output, where Goju is weak; Beebom's rewards unique utility, where Goju is unmatched. Both can be correct for different team contexts — this is exactly why our tier list shows both placements side by side.

What's the best trait for Goju?

Cooldown reduction (more slow uptime) and range (wider nullify zone). If you run him as a hybrid, damage multipliers instead.

Goju or Starku as my Mythic?

Need damage → Starku (documented nuke). Need to stop leaking waves and keep carries alive → Goju. Their tier placements reflect exactly this split.
