Anime Origins Squad Coverage Planner

Select up to 6 units and test your team across Story, Farming, Boss, and Rifts presets. Detect missing roles, duplicate jobs, tactical risks, and unit substitutions before spending rare upgrade materials.

Tactical role coverage and team balance analysis

A successful Anime Origins lineup requires balancing distinct tactical roles: Ground AoE wave clearing, elevated Hill anti-air, concentrated boss burst, crowd control seals, and in-match cash generation. This tool analyzes capability coverage and redundant jobs rather than calculating unverified damage formulas.

Squad Coverage Planner & Role Analyzer

Test up to 6 units against preset requirements. Update 1 units are supported with manual overrides for tested kit roles. Transparent, deterministic coverage calculation.

Preset Goal: Prioritizes dependable Ground wave clear to avoid leaks, early Hill placement to intercept flying enemies, and income generation to fund mid-wave upgrades.

Worksheets

Fill the missing job first

Each worksheet has a use case, observations to record, a decision rule, a stop condition, and one next page.

Wave-clear worksheet

Use case. Story or Infinite waves leak because no placed unit covers the full path.

Observations to record

  • • Which owned unit actually clears waves on the stage you play.
  • • Whether that unit is Ground-only and failing against flying or Hill-only threats.
  • • Itsugo's documented long-path scaling if you own him; otherwise name the AoE unit you do own.

Decision rule. Keep one reliable AoE carry. Do not invest rerolls in a second wave-clear unit while bosses or Hills are empty.

Stop condition. Stop swapping carries every run. If two units do the same job, bench the weaker one and move to the next worksheet.

Next action. Compare current wave-clear placements on the tier list.

Boss-control worksheet

Use case. Waves are fine but bosses stall the run or ignore your carry.

Observations to record

  • • Whether you own Madaro (documented 500% Heaven Splitter burst) or Valcrad (seven-second Coffin Trap seal).
  • • Whether your current boss answer is a Mythic nuke such as Starku or Tojei instead of a Secret.
  • • How many seconds the boss is actually locked or burst down on a recorded clear.

Decision rule. Fill the missing boss job before copying a release-week Secret lineup. Burst and seal are different jobs.

Stop condition. Stop spending Gems on a third boss unit if waves or Hills are still uncovered.

Next action. Read the Secret kit pages, then decide which job is still empty.

Hill and placement worksheet

Use case. A strong Ground unit still fails because the stage needs Hill or air coverage.

Observations to record

  • • How many Hill tiles the current map actually gives you.
  • • Whether Itsoda or Vegita is covering Hill, or whether that slot is empty.
  • • Whether flying enemies ignore your Ground carry.

Decision rule. Cover Hill before upgrading a duplicate Ground carry. Placement type is separate from rarity.

Stop condition. Stop if you would spend Perfect Stat Prisms on a Ground unit to solve a Hill problem.

Next action. Read Itsoda's Hill notes, then re-check the live map tiles.

Income and support worksheet

Use case. You can place units but cannot afford upgrades before the boss wave.

Observations to record

  • • Whether Bluma is in the squad and converting kills into Training Data.
  • • Whether Bon is providing Food buffs and extra enemy money.
  • • Whether you are treating those two jobs as the same — they are not.

Decision rule. Keep one income unit if upgrades stall. Do not replace Bluma with a second DPS until the run can fund placements.

Stop condition. Stop converting Bluma's income percentage into a Gems-per-hour claim. That conversion is not published.

Next action. Read Bluma and Bon kit notes, then pick the missing economy job.

Open the Bluma page

Investment-risk worksheet

Use case. You are about to spend Trait Rerolls, Perfect Stat Prisms, Remnants, or a large Gem stack on one unit.

Observations to record

  • • Which squad job that unit fills today.
  • • Whether another owned unit already fills the same job.
  • • Whether the live banner, trait panel, or evolution panel shows a complete cost.

Decision rule. Spend scarce items only on a unit that fills a missing job you will still need after the next banner.

Stop condition. Stop if the cost is unpublished, the unit is a duplicate role, or you would empty the last Perfect Stat Prisms on a bench unit.

Next action. Check trait odds, then return to the resource worksheets if the cost is still unknown.
